Dou010 – Riverfront Douro Estate with Infinity Pool

Set directly on the banks of the Douro River, surrounded by the terraced vineyards and dramatic hillsides of Portugal’s celebrated wine country, this six-bedroom estate offers an exceptional setting for a peaceful stay in the Douro Valley.

Beautifully restored, the property combines the character of a traditional Portuguese quinta with bright, contemporary interiors and generous indoor and outdoor living spaces. Original stone walls and historic wine-crushing wells remain as reminders of the estate’s winemaking past, while large openings frame uninterrupted views across the river.

Every bedroom overlooks the Douro. Four suites are located in the main house, while two additional bedrooms sit on a lower level with their own private entrances. The estate accommodates up to 14 guests.

Outside, an infinity pool appears to hover above the river, surrounded by spacious terraces and lawns that roll down towards the water. A private pier provides direct access to the Douro, making arrival by boat or a day spent cruising through the valley an unforgettable part of the experience.

Daily breakfast prepared with local ingredients, housekeeping and laundry service are included. A private traditional chef can also be arranged to prepare lunches and dinners upon request.
