Originally built in the mid-17th century, the residence has been carefully restored under the direction of architect Gloria Patricia Martínez, a specialist in the restoration of Cartagena’s historic colonial houses. The project preserves the character, proportions and architectural details of the original property while introducing the comfort expected from an exceptional contemporary residence.
The house also carries a remarkable cultural legacy. Over the years, it has welcomed some of Colombia’s most distinguished personalities, including Nobel Prize-winning author Gabriel García Márquez, poet María Mercedes Carranza and several former Colombian presidents.
Behind its discreet colonial façade lies approximately 500 m² of beautifully designed living space organized around a spectacular central courtyard.
